There are several types of birth control methods such as: female and male sterilization, long-acting reversible contraceptives or LARC methods, short-acting hormonal methods, barrier methods and natural rhythm methods.
Dr. Debra Kenward, Obstetrician and Gynecologist with Baptist Health South Florida, says IUD (Intrauterine device) is probably the most common method worldwide. It prevents intrauterine pregnancies by blocking implantation.
She talks about control pills and affirms they still have their place.
