Florida’s Diabetes Epidemic




In the adult population of Florida 2.4 million people have diabetes, 579,000 have diabetes but do not know it, and 5.8 million people have prediabetes.

Angie Placeres, Registered Dietitian with Baptist Health South Florida, highlights it is important to see your primary care physician, at least once a year, because you will be able to see if you have prediabetes before that type two diabetes takes place. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
