Menopause is a year time frame. It’s the year when women’s ovary stopped producing enough estrogen to create a menstrual cycle.

Dr. Debra Kenward, Obstetrician and Gynecologist with Baptist Health South Florida, describes the three stages of menopause: Perimenopause, Period stops and Postmenopause.

She says perimenopause is one of the most problematic times for women.
