Monitoring Your Blood Pressure

Dr. Troy Gatcliffe

People twenty years old and older should have their blood pressure checked every year. Ideal blood pressure is 120 /80. If it is high, above 140/90 it should be checked more often than that.

Dr. Paula Montana de la Cadena, Cardiovascular Specialist with Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute says even a reading of 135/85 may be too high for someone 30 years old. Regular check ups can identify a potential blood pressure problem early.
