If the acne is mild to moderate, topical cream might just work for it, affirms Paula Brezavseck, Physician Assistant with Miami Plastic Surgery. But if the condition doesn’t improve with this treatment she recommends an oral antibiotic.

She also explains physicians have to determine the type of acne, because there is a specific treatment for each one.
