Some of the recommendations for swimming safety for home pools are: maintaining adult supervision at all times, learning CPR, installing and using a pool fence, always having a life ring, rescue rope and shepherd´s hook poolside and keeping telephone and emergency numbers (911) nearby. Dr. Zulma Berrios, Chief Medical Officer at West Kendall Baptist Hospital says vigilance is the main thing in order to prevent drowning.
