Cardiac Toxicity from Cancer Treatments

The expert explains radiation therapy could accelerate coronary artery disease and patients are coming to the physicians with very severe coronary disease and heart attacks.
Dr. Gomez also describes there are other vascular problems not related to heart itself. For instance, many cancers themselves produce blood coding in the veins of the legs, which is called Deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This has tremendous consequence producing blood clots in the lungs which could be a cause of death in cancer patients.
