Knee Osteoarthritis In Women

Dr. Moises Lustgarten, Pain Medicine Physician with Baptist Health South Florida, explains arthritis means inflammation on a joint, and it is common especially as people get older. He also says the most common one is osteoarthritis; it happens when the cartilage that supports the contact between two bones is lost, and then you have both bones rubbing together and that can lead to significant pain and wear on the bony surface of the joint. "Especially in women you are going to see significant number of arthritis of the knee and arthritis of the hips, which are the most common locations."
