Skin Cancer: Risk Factors

Fair skin, a history of sunburns, excessive sun exposure, sunny or high-altitude climates, and moles are some of the most common skin cancer risk factors. Dr. Deborah Longwill, Dermatologist with Baptist Health South Florida, explains a weakened immune system is also a risk factor, because if you do not have a strong immune system, you will not be able to fight infections as well.
