Breast Cancer and Family History

Dr. Lauren Carcas, Medical Oncologist with Miami Cancer Institute, says family history is key and it is arguably one of the most important things to know in order to assess your risk for development of breast cancer. She points out that African-American women and women of Caribbean descent have an increased risk of being a carrier of that gene as well.
