Hair transplant, follicular unit extraction, follicular unit grafting, neograft, eyebrow transplantation, and beard and facial hair transplantation are some treatment options for hair loss.
Dr. Anthony Bared, Facial Plastic Surgeon with Baptist Health South Florida, explains hair transplantation is when hair is taken from areas of the scalp that are not susceptible to hair loss. "Typically we are using hair from the back and sides, in both men and women. They are transplanted and moved from the back of the scalp to the front of the scalp or the crown to restore density on those areas that are lacking."
