Over-The-Counter Drug Safety Tips

Reading all warnings and instructions, always following package directions, talking with a pharmacist, and not drinking alcohol with medications are tips for taking over-the-counter medicines in a safe way. Dr. Jose Llach, Medical Director of Free Standing Emergency Department with Baptist Health South Florida, explains some medications have alcohol in them, and if you drink alcohol and then drink Nyquil, for example, you can have an overdose.
