Chronic Pain In Women

Dr. Moises Lustgarten, Pain Medicine Physician with Baptist Health South Florida, says women are affected by all sorts of chronic painful conditions. "There are certain conditions that affect women more frequently than men, including fibromyalgia, TMJ syndrome, chronic pelvic pain syndrome, and arthritis." He also explains these conditions are often undertreated because women don't complain as often as they should, they have other responsibilities, including their household, and sometimes they don't have time to complain.
