Arteriovenous Malformation

AVM or arteriovenous malformation is a malformation of the vessels of the brain, explains Dr. Italo Linfante, Medical Director of Interventional Neuroradiology & Endovascular Neurosurgery with Baptist Health Neuroscience Center. The specialist says in the AVM all the interaction of vessels architecture is disrupted, causing horrible consequences for patients. Dr. Linfante describes most of the AVMs are congenital, people are born with them. He affirms it is a very difficult disease to treat.
