Mammogram Images: Normal & Abnormal

Mammograms look for abnormalities that can suggest breast cancer, explains Dr. Monica Suarez Kobilis, Family Medicine Physician with Baptist Health Primary Care. Radiologists are the physicians who read mammograms. They also can suggest if the person needs a mammogram sooner than a year. Taking some pain relievers, such as Tylenol or Motrin, before mammogram and using ice packs after it can be helped with the discomfort that tests can cause, the expert says.
