Medication & Epilepsy Treatment

Physicians use medications to start the treatment once they have the diagnosis of epilepsy, explains Dr. Alberto Pinzon, Neurologist with Baptist Health Neuroscience Center. The treatment is individualized, the doctor affirms. He also says sometimes medications do not work for certain types of epilepsy. Or some medications make epilepsy worse.
