Diagnosis Of An Ankle Injury
Thomas San Giovanni, Orthopedic Surgeon, at Miami Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute, highlights the mechanism of injury is very important in the diagnostic process.
"I'd want to know how you landed, the surface was even or uneven, how long it took before you felt you were able to start putting weight on it. I would focus on the examination, would get X-rays and then if there's certain signs than I would typically see, we may get a ultrasound or an MRI scan," he explains.
