Anatomy of the Carotid Artery
Carotid arteries are biologic tubes. Their function is to bring blood, energy and oxygen to the brain. Everybody has two carotid arteries, explains Dr. Athanassios Tsoukas, Vascular Surgeon with Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.
