Where Operation Smile Works?
Dr. Joel Levin, Plastic Surgeon with Baptist Hospital of Miami, says aside from travel time to exotic and wonderful places, the mission with Operation Smile lasts about a week.
He explains in those places, specialists see 450 families. Only a third of the kids are getting operated on, because in most of the cases, kids have another serious illness and physicians can’t put them on a risk.
