Obesity, A Disease

Obese people are more than 40 % more likely to have a foot issue. Wayne Goldstein, Podiatric Physician at Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute, says obesity is a big factor, because it increases the weight and forces you to put on your feet. "With the more weight you have, the more force is going on your feet and that accelerates the problems that you might have or you might not even have currently, but it might force it to develop a lot sooner", highlights Goldstein. He recommends to keep weight down. Obesity can also lead to diabetes which leads to even more foot complications.
