Affordable Care Act
Christopher Irizarry, Vice President of Primary Health Care Services at Banyan Health Systems, explains the affordable care act helps because it gives people the opportunity to enter the health care system. He says it is important that people understand they have options, they can go to their primary care physician, because the main goal is to provide them access to the system.
He points out there are people thinking they cannot see a doctor because they do not have insurance. "That is a flat out lie. Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) are there to see everybody."
