Concussion: Warning Signs
Headache or a feeling of pressure in the head, temporary loss of consciousness, confusion or feeling as if in a fog, amnesia surrounding the traumatic event, and ringing in the ears are some signs of having a concussion.
Jennifer Couceyro, Advanced Registered Nurses Practitioner with Baptist Children’s Hospital, explains the first thing they look for is a headache or a feeling of pressure or discomfort in the head. "Sometimes with kids you will see confusion, when you ask them questions, they can't really answer you or put words together very well."
