Different Treatments for Breast Cancer

Breast cancer can be treated with different options, such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. Dr. Marcio Fagundes, Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Miami Cancer Institute, explains hormonal therapy is used to treat tumors that have estrogen receptor positivity. That means it will block the receptors and will decrease the chances of cancer recurrence.
