Learning about Mental Illness

Laura Naredo, Chief Operating Officer of South Florida Behavioral Health Network, explains there are multiple disorders that could fall into mental illness, like people who suffer from anxiety and it could get out of control, and they may end up needing care. She says people who have suffered a depression, the loss of a loved one or a traumatic event can also be in the mental health spectrum of disorders. She points out behavioral health also covers substance abuse and alcoholism.
