COPD vs. Emphysema

Dr. Keith Jamal Robinson, Pulmonologist with Baptist Health South Florida, explains emphysema is a form of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). He says emphysema is when a large amount of lung function has been lost causing to have holes in the lungs. "But not everybody that has developed holes in their lungs has emphysema. We use emphysema as bookend for COPD, there's a large amount of diseases in between."
