Dr. Andres Soto, Chief of Hospital Medicine with Baptist Health South Florida, says if a patient has been in their health system, they keep that record and can always look the information of the patients. "If a patient goes to one hospital or the other one, we still have access to that information, because we share the electronic medical record."
He also recommends going to the hospital with somebody who can provide them with an objective information and can give them the medications or contacts of the patient, because the patient may be confused, may not be in the ideal mind state.
