Deep Vein Thrombosis

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can be produced by cancer itself. Most of the time it’s not a complication of therapy, but rather produced by the cancer itself. Many types of cancer can produce DVT, explains Dr. Alvaro Gomez, Cardiologist with Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. The doctor advises to patients to be aware if they have any kind of initial pain in the lower leg, because that’s could be a sign of DVT.
