Dr. John Newcomer, President and Chief Executive Officer of South Florida Behavioral Health Network, says access to drug is a huge issue and there have been efforts to reduce access to certain prescription forms of opiates.
Laura Naredo, Chief Operating Officer of South Florida Behavioral Health Network, explains they have a program for training officers in interventions. Officers have a pen that says CIT, so people can identify they are trained officers in the Miami-Dade community.
