Brain hemorrhages can be caused by uncontrolled high blood pressure, overtreatment of blood thinners or aneurisms.
800.000 strokes a year happens in the U.S, according to Dr. Guilherme Dabus, Director of the Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship Program with Baptist Health Neuroscience Center. About
15 to 20% are hemorrhagic stroke.
The expert describes the two types of hemorrhagic strokes: intracerebral (within the brain) and subarachnoid.
