Duration of Hormonal Systemic Treatment

Dr. Charles Kalstone, Obstetrician and Gynecologist with Baptist Health South Florida, tells their patients to take the hormone therapy as long as they want the benefits.
Dr. Kalstone affirms the benefits of the therapy will start to lose 3 years after stopping the treatment.
He prefers to discuss the risks and benefits of the hormone therapy with the woman and evaluate her annually. “I tell patients not to get too focused on the long-term aspect,” he says.
