She describes four factors: redness, swelling and pain, pus or other drainage and fever and chills. She advises addressing any skin infections if the symptoms get worse.

Dr. Nina Dieguez, Internal Medicine Physician at the same place, also affirms a healthcare professional will determine which type the infection it is and what agent will need to be used to treat infection from the skin.
