There is an hereditary component in rosacea and very often will find that individuals who in their youth blushed very easily are people that are more prone to getting rosacea, according to Dr. Judith Crowell, Dermatologist with Baptist Health South Florida .
Rosacea is not similar to acne. Acne is a bacterial infection. Rosacea is more an inflammatory process and if it stops, it will also prevent the progression of the condition, explains the specialist.
