The 3D printer technology is extremely useful in several cases such as complex aneurysms, explains Dr. Italo Linfante, Medical Director of Interventional Neuroradiology & Endovascular Neurosurgery with Baptist Health Neuroscience Center, who also affirms physicians can model the exact AVM or aneurysm and then test different devices before they go into the patient.
He also says nowadays technology is getting easier and more user-friendly.
Regarding spinal AVMs, the doctor explains they are not that common. If they occur, they are extremely challenging for both physicians and patients, he explains.
