Diagnosis of AVM




There are symptoms of AVM such as dizziness or headaches, but most patients don’t always have it. Dr. Italo Linfante, Medical Director of Interventional Neuroradiology & Endovascular Neurosurgery with Baptist Health Neuroscience Center, considers it’s important to do some studies to have a correct diagnosis.
Angiography is the best detailed test to diagnose an AVM, the specialist says.
With angiography it is possible to have fine details and then decide which treatment is most appropriate for a patient, Dr. Linfante affirms.
