Protecting your Skin from the Sun |

If you work outside you can protect your skin using sunscreen, sitting in shade and wearing protective clothing.

Michelle Brewster, Internal Medicine Physician with Baptist Health South Florida, says all of them are important to prevent sunburn.

She explains there are two different solar lights, UVA and UVB. The UVA penetrates through the skin, which has three layers (epidermis, dermis and hypodermis), it goes deeper than the UVB, which only penetrates the top layer, the epidermis.

Brewster highlights both of them can cause skin cancer.
